Thorne opened up about her life in an episode of Real Pod with Victoria Garrick. She says that she makes sure that she's in control of what's going on in her life. "Even if you're not in a driver's seat, like if you're in a passenger seat, you can pull that hand brake anytime," she explains. "You can really reach over and pull that ceiling. Like literally, life is yours and any decision is yours to make, no matter what other people say. Like it ultimately comes down to you. So, do what you want always."

Thorne said in her Real Pod interview that she's all about staying positive. "Everything happens for a reason, and every little trip that you take will mold you as a person, good or bad," she says. "And it's however you wanna take it. Cause some people could have taken a truly horrific relationship, and made it make them a really insecure person that was a bit timid or a bit shy. Honestly just grab it by the balls and take it, let it mold you to a therapist and you know what I mean? You gotta take the positive from everything."

Thorne opened up about her previous relationships in her Real Pod interview. She says that she has learned to prioritize her happiness from them. "My last relationship completely broke me down," she revealed. "And like, I was not the same person at all, and coming out with that one, and seeing the light and the true colors that everyone had been trying to tell me whilst I was in the relationship that I was seeing. But I was just ignoring it because, I was getting caught up in the moment and then I came out and I was like, 'why didn't I just listen to everyone? Like they were all seen it.' And so then I said to myself from there, 'I'll never ever let myself go for anything less than what I deserve. And if there's one thing I'm not happy with, then I'm not happy with it all.'"

Thorne knows who she is. She explains to Real Pod that this helps her not take rejection or people not liking her personally. "I know what kind of person I am," she says. "I know where my morals lie. I know I stand for, I know that overall, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna be beheaded. I'm a good person, and for anyone else to ever not wanna be my friend or not think I'm any of these things, then A, they truly don't know me, because they wouldn't have that opinion if they did. And then B, do you wanna be liked by everyone? Like is it bad for you to only be liked by people that actually know you or be liked by everyone, and everyone does not really have a whole clue about who you are? Cause then that would mean nothing. That would actually mean nothing. I think what matters most is that the people that you care about and the people that you love are the people that know you and you have validation from and you give your own self validation."

Reality TV fans can be brutal. And Thorne and her Love Island castmates will not stand for this. She shared a statement on Instagram that the entire cast put together. In it, they called for fans to stop spreading hate on social media and to other cast members. Thorne captioned the post, "#BeKind."
