Kennedy McMann is an American actress. She stars as Nancy Drew on the 2019- show of the same name.

She is the daughter of young adult author Lisa McMann and writer and musician Matt McMann. Her brother is artist Kilian McMann. Her mother is from Holland, Michigan, a town with a heavily Dutch-American population.

Kennedy is married to Sam McInerney.

Kennedy’s maternal grandfather was Morris George Gort (the son of Henry Gort and Marie Waterway). Morris was born in Drenthe, Michigan. Henry was the son of Geert “George” Gort, a Dutch emigrant, from Drenthe, and of Leentje Van Der Stad, whose parents were also Dutch. Marie was the daughter of Henry Waterway and Grace Bredeweg, who were born in Holland, Michigan, both of them to Dutch emigrants, from Gelderland. The name Waterway was changed from van de Waterweg.

Kennedy’s maternal grandmother is Glenda Alvina Bouwer (the daughter of Geert “George” Bouwer and Harmtien “Hermina” Lambers). Glenda was born in Michigan, to emigrants from Osterwald, a German town in Lower Saxony, near the border with the Netherlands. She was of at least mostly ethnic Dutch descent. Hermina was the daughter of Albert Lambers and Gese Hensen.
