On Wednesday, a family member went to Eddy’s home and believed she was not taking drugs. Currently, social media users are speculating that it was due to an opiate overdose.
If rumors of a drug overdose are true, it wouldn’t be the first time a young person lost their life due to narcotics. Fans of Ariana Grande and Mac Miller know that the latter also lost his life to drugs, more specifically, cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol.
Around that time, Ariana Grande was in the middle of her engagement to the Saturday Night Live star, Pete Davidson, following her split with Mac. Not long after Ariana and Mac broke up, Miller was also charged with drinking and driving.
The death of the Swimming artist was easily one of the most shocking events in the entertainment industry in 2018. Moreover, it came at a particularly turbulent time for Ariana Grande, who just endured the aftermath of the Manchester Bombing.
Unfortunately, Mac Miller joined several other up-and-coming artists who died at a young age. Lil’ Peep, also a respected member in the hip-hop community, overdosed and died on his tour bus. Juice WRLD died in late 2019 as well at the Chicago airport. However, the details surrounding Juice WRLD’s passing haven’t been revealed yet.

Following the death of several young talents in the industry, some on social media have questioned whether or not record labels should offer therapy for their artists. Others argue that a business can’t be held liable for the actions of their employee in their personal lives.
